No I actually believe it is a ktm directive. It used to be US companies just refused to believe that there was an outside world and wouldn't ship. Problem solved itself. They came back and said no stock. Sigh.

Cheers After mucho time searching. . . OK so I've ordered what I believe is the 1.2mm spring with PN MT22020GG-CGI-1 from KTM World in the US. They weren't 'allowed' to ship internationally but I'm using NZ post shipping service. So far i'm in $25 US to get it delivered inter US. - about $50 NZ. Then the same to get it to NZ. Unless they pack it in a helmet box the way the US shops seem to so it doesn't get lost by US Post. By which time it will cost the same as the GDP of Equatorial Ghana. I'll wait till it actually gets here (about when the Sun runs out) and measures 1.2mm before I buy the other parts. In the meantime I'll count to three as I let the clutch out, and by the time I get a kit together I wont need it

From Hell site Clutch Belleville Spring 2015+ 1.2mm This is the lightest of all the Belville springs used on the GasGas TXT diaphragm clutches. Early ones were 1.7mm, (2002 - 2005) then they reduced the thickness to 1.5mm (2006 - 2015), and post 2015 were down to 1.2mm (except GG CONTACT)

Thanks so much for posting. Looking at the parts diagram for my 2023 One RR it already has PART # 05011MT100. So I think I'm back to try find a GG 1.2mm spring, that seems to be the hard part to track. I've been onto the local guy here for old stock but he can't help. My CGPT searches have not dug anything up. I've tried ebay but will now extend to try find a 2nd hand clutch. Why do you say 2007? From that year only, or likely several do you think. I'll try scope parts diagrams. My 2014 TX had a MT280632015. Hmm, searching says it is a 1.5mm, grr.

I got a quick reply from Hellteam and he explained that thier issue was getting bits out of GasGas ktm. I don't mind paying a bit of r&d if it saves me buying parts then getting slip, more parts more freight more spoiled rides. . Hey thanks so much for that info. I'll go searching, maybe AI can find areas of Web I don't for S3 kit. Funny I bought some different plates for my TXT250 when I was buying mc seal kit but never used them. All went with bike but bet 1.6mm plate was there knowing my luck. The GG clutch was just what I'm looking for in action.

Yes but they have done the research on what works. Its not a TRS kit from what it says. I've emailed them to see if they have the other two parts, spring and friction.
-
Well cash flow issue has finally eased and a trial yesterday had me thinking that I must order a kit. And wouldn't you know it? Out of stock. Hopefully they do another run.

My '23 TRS has front rim lock 180° from valve. My Beta dirtbike has a Tublis on rear because I put it there. High pressure valve and rimlock incorporated about 4 spokes away from valve. Heck maybe they fitted them for a while. They are a tiny company.

Ok another trial last weekend which was harder. I was pretty switched on for some of the first lap. Then got progressively worse. Think I'll try the kit but need to get past Christmas and cash flow issues. I could just take money from family account but I expect the wife to keep to a budget for play money account so I probably should. . .

Well I did an easy trial and I believe it was more controllable. That said when I get tired (easily appears to be my new reality) I get more sloppy. I might look into the kit but a few bills need to be sorted.

Cool thanks for posting. Gee haven't ridden. Rain on last trial and a few other bikes needed thier wheels rotated every other sunday in the manner of which they demanded and I am but their humble servant. Edit, sorry ever other made it sound 2 weekly. I meant every Sunday other than the rained out Trial. But Sunday looks good to have a proper test at a low key trial, ideal.

Sadly my index finger doesn't have the power or another joint so I've had to start riding with my middle finger doing the work. Nice moccasins. My electric button is on the right. Any reason for the left?
-
Thanks, I did see people suggesting that. And it might be worthwhile exploring for other reasons. But thinking I probably do most trials in 2nd, maybe 1st If it's particularly snotty, or 3rd if its an open bit. The ratios are fairly close. I dont want to change in section, unless i come up to a big obstacle. It's a compromise. Gearing down makes it possible to have an in between choice, but also means your gear has a shorter usable range. Selecting the right gear at the start is important, but my issue is the current range of operation is let's say 1cm and I want 2cm. It was quite aggressive and you had to be precise, it does seem more tolerant of my more sloppy riding technique, but driveway is not tree roots etc. Might be 3 weeks till I can test it. Thanks for ideas.

Hi, thanks for the detailed response. Yes I had seen that kit but figured i hadn't even changed the oil yet (I was off riding for a couple of years or at least Trials which is hard when your balance and coordination take a king hit. Actually I have to ride two finger clutch, well 1 &2/3 as i lost a tip. I mean I didn't lose it, I know where it ended up, hospital incinerator. But I find the '23 lever light enough. My issue is my body vs head is not as sharp as it once was. I'd asked my dealer what oil the guys use and he did mention he had a soft ring in stock so I thought it was a good 1st step. On my Beta I did the usual take sharp edges off plates they seem to suffer and machined so top hats to reduce the preload. Transformation. I've machined baskets etc on road and race bikes usually to add another plate when power has been increased (like my 500 kitted RZ350). But diaphragm are new to me. I guess that's kit is my next step if I'm still a loose cannon when I'm fit enough to do another Trial. Thanks.

F5Dave started following Who has tried a soft clutch support ring?
-
As title. You can supposedly get a H, M, Or S support ring.. This apparently gives a softer, well if you choose S over M which is standard. I also put GRO Rockoil 75 in. There's f all difference in the support rings. But, well maybe I can tell the difference. I've only ridden up the driveway a few times and then in circles for a few minutes. Actually it does feel easier. My GG250 did seem more progressive . After a horrendous medical event I have been left clumsy and unbalanced. My GG would have been easier to come with..Jebuz, I'm lucky to be walking. But 2 years on if can ride my trials bike. But I am bouncing off stuff. Hence the softer ring. So more updates when I actually get to ride off road properly.
