Hi Ron I’d a feeling I may be at fault but there’s no harm in asking the question. I’ll start ripping into it in the next few days and hopefully all isn’t too bad. Thanks for the reply mate

Evening folks Ive a small issue with my bike , it can be tricky to start, it feels like the kickstart is only engaging at the bottom of the stroke of it. I know this model can have a knack to start but any feedback or help would be great. Also the clutch casing has a crack in it (please see attached photo) where kickstart runs through which I’d assume would not help. What could cause this to crack ? Again any feedback and help would be greatly appreciated Cheers Paddy

Evening all I’ve recently rebuilt the engine in the above mentioned bike and it starts and runs but there is a running issue. When it’s idling it seems to hold the revs just fine but if you give the throttle a blip at all, it seems to rev really aggressively and takes a few seconds to drop back to a normal tickover. Also on initial start up if you use the choke fully open it seems to absolutely rev its knackers off . I can tell it’s a fuelling/carb issue but unsure what to look for . Thanks in advance if any of you can help Kind regards Paddy

Evening all Hope your all keeping well . Bit of an issue with the above mentioned bike . Just did a top end rebuild on this bike bike , all went well or so I thought . It ran fine the first time I kicked it over . Tried again today and while it did run it stopped and seem like a heap of pressure was built up in kickstart. Whipped the plug out and noticed there was coolant there , not much I might add. Took the head off and the two o-rings were damaged. Also noticed that at the spot where the o-rings were damaged , the respective screws in the barrel were loose. Before I start ripping and tearing at it any more if there anything I might have missed to cause this or is it a simple case where I may have got bad o-rings Any help would be great Cheers Paddy McDonald

Evening All Recently bought a 2005 Gas Gas txt 250 pro. After a few rides about on it I’ve encountered some issues. It starts and runs fine but when it’s anyway warm and the engine stops it will , under no circumstances start again. At first I thought it was a coil pack , I replaced it with a new one and the issue is still there unfortunately. I fear it may be the stator at fault . It’s worth noting it’s using a Kokusan stator. Anybody on here had anything similar issues , any help or pointers will be genuinely appreciated. Thanks all Regards Pat Mc
