I had it apart again today and it had pushed itself out again. I have heard of people machining a grub screw in to hold it but I’m not brave enough to attempt that!

That’s the one, just pressed in. No rivets.

Many thanks for all the responses. I did end up having the clutch basket off, the gear on the back of the basket had pushed out slightly. After pressing back in and using some loctite it seemed to have worked but after a hard trial the issues came back… Will look into changing out the Elf and having it all back apart! Many thanks

Morning, I’m looking for some help with my Montesa 301 RR 2022 clutch. I’ve had issues with the clutch since purchase a year ago. It’s progressively got worse with juddering, shrieking when hot and now a grinding sound under engine breaking. Ive changed the plates out for Mitani Alluminium discs, fresh HTX 740 and it hasn’t improved or changed at all. Any advice would be much appreciated.
