The Rhode Island Trials club is working closely with the AMA and the FIM in an effort to secure a United States World Round in Exeter, Rhode Island in 2015. We have developed a good working relationship with the FIM over the years and have put on several World Rounds, the last being 14 years ago in 1999. We are really excited this year as we now have, for the first time, a US representative on the FIM CTR committee ---- Martin Belair, a long time friend of Rhode Island Trials Club. The FIM has had a recent change in the organization and the new leaders are being proactive to promote the sport of Trials. Some of their changes and rules have been controversial, but their intent is to try to turn around the decline in Trials Industry. The Rhode Island Trials Club has the same mission - Put on a World Class event and be a spark plug to promote Trials in New England. We are asking our members and the New England Trials riders to support this monumental endeavor by being respectful of the FIM organization and help foster a strong relationship with our fellow Trials enthusiast across the pond. As many of you in New England know, putting on a National Event is quite an undertaking. A World Round is 100 times more work. It requires a dedicated club with members who devote hours in the woods, countless phone calls and emails, promoting the event and corralling the necessary sponsors. Please help and support us in building a positive relationship with the FIM so that we can put on a premier event that we can be proud of. RITC Officers and Board Members

The Rhode Island Trials Club Presents The New England Vintage Trials Championship on Saturday, September 22, 2007. This event will again be in Exeter, Rhode Island - The site of the 1975 World Round. You will be riding the some of the same sections ridden by Malcom Rathmell, Yrjo Vesterinen, Martin Lampkin, and Mick Andrews. There will be 3 classes: Expert / Intermediate / Novice classes (A level for all skills - Even for those who never rode a trials before. This is one of the best trials sites in the country. Dust off that old trials bike and have some fun! $25 entry fee which includes a great looking T-shirt!
