I'm a new Montesa owner and new to trials. The montesa was easiest choice as my buddy already has one and he'll help me work on it. At 105+ kilos i'm too heavy for the stock spring. that is if i want it to do anything other than get squashed under my weight. apparently their is a 10% stiffer spring for those over 80 kilos avail here in the usa. but what about those of us way over? thanks jeff

Thanks for the lead. i've sent him a note to figure out how to buy it all. wouldn't it bite to buy a bunch of misc peices but be short a few. jeff

unfortunately all or nothing here even then they can get funny about requiring a smog cert jeff

I'm looking for an illumination kit (ie the headlight, tail light turn signals horn license plate holder and speedo) in order to obtain a license to take a Montesa 4RT on the street. It is a US model thus was delivered stripped of such equipment. I understand many europeans immediately strip this equipment upon purchase. so if someone out their has these items and is willing to clean up their shop and discard theirs, I am interested in purchasing at some reasonable price. It would be nice to not worry about a big fat ticket and points on my insurance record. Regards Jeff in California
