The third pin doesn't do anything so you should be fine.. The other two pins are pos and neg.. they're what charges the bike. If it's still a concern, email or call Oset, their service is top rate!
Yes I can vouch for the top notch service from Oset. My charger was faulty and they supplied one F O C to me within a couple of days.
Could anyone tell me how much these bikes are new??
I'd like to get one for my sons birthday in march and be good to have a idea of the cost?
What they go for second hand? not that I can find one anywhere.........
I bought my sons Oset 36volt of Graham Jarvis. If you do a search on google for his contact details I am sure he will be able to help you.
Like the other post shows, they are not a cheap piece of kit but, They are worth every penny as they don't intimidate the rider. My son is 4 and he loves his.
My next door neighbours son is 9 and he can wheelie it a little and he has only rode it 3 or 4 times max.
The one concern I had about the Oset was that my son has riding experience as he had a LT50 quad and a PW50 bike and I wondered how he would react to the silent power delivery.... He managed no problem.
I bought an extra set of batteries as well but the life on the fitted batteries is very good as long as its not running at full throttle for too long, I have slowed it down a bit now to give him more balance and I can get 1 and a half hours out of a set of batteries no problem.
Hi Paul, accident happened just above Scar House Res.
Involved helicopter and a bloody cameraman from the BBC.
My incident was featured in the series Helicopter Heroes.
!5 minutes of fame I could have done without.
Seem to be well on the mend now though.
Managed a trip to Spain on the Triumph 2 up last August, and coincidentally set off on the anniversary of my'off'.
Regards
Tommy
I saw that on Helicopter Heroes this year, My neighbour is Simon, the paramedic that tended to your injuries (if I am thinking of the same accident). He flys with the Yorkshire air ambulance.
Have you used an optimate to charge the batteries or do you charge them on the bike ? The reason why I ask is because I have bought a spare set of batteries for my sons Oset 16 (36 volt).
Also whats the score on the charging front as I didnt get a manual with mine due to it being a demo bike.
I have the 36 volt mains charger which has a red light on it whilst plugged in. Do I have to wait for this to turn green before the batteries are fuly charged ??
Or is it the lights on the throttle that turn green ??
Just a quick post to say Hi to everbody, I have just bought my son a Mini Trial for his xmas box..... I know its early but I wanted to miss the xmas price premiums.
