  1. I tend to go with combats or just manky old jeans usually. If it's wet then I've some baggyish black waterproofish trousers that do. Top half I always but always have a dark blue/ light blue striped rugby shirt. Is really comfy, warm and cool enough, thick enough to turn away most types of prickly bush. Don't give a monkey what I look like, but I know I don't have the body for lycra!

  2. Yet again it was a spectaular event. Sections maybe a bit on the tough side, especially for the rigids, but most seemed to get round ok!

Hungry Hill itself was tricky I thought. All the mud that is usually soft and gooey was frozen solid! Made for a rough old ride!

Really good event, really reaaly good day out.

Always surprises me how little publicity the event gets considering its popularity!

Can't wait for next year now!

  3. Morning all.

The markers we've always used down here in the South East have been in pairs.

    Easiest: Yellow pairs

    Inter: Red Pairs

    Difficult: Blue Pairs

Frickin insane suicidal type stuff: White pairs

One club used to use blue for easy, then yellow then red which got a bit confusing at first, now they're in line with the other clubs.

I for one find pairs of like colours much easier to use. I gues it uses a lot of markers, maybe more than some methods, but when walking and riding the sections it's much easier to aim between the pairs. At least I think so!

I must say though, I've not yet helped with laying out a trial so I don't know what it's like from that point of view. What with working Saturdays and living 50+ miles away I can't get feasibly get down there. It's not lack of willing, just logistics!

    Just my tuppence worth!

  4. In the beginning, back in 1955, there was a young man who only had one thing to play with while he sat around doing his big sisters butt plug exercises. He found he had fallen in love with a fat******* who was looking to get a damn hard electroplating applied to the delicate part of her anatomy that is usually hidden below the surface of her woollen, hand knitted woollen, thermal welding trousers. In there* lurked an exquisite, but oddly malformed and strangely sexual bunch of grapes that had fermented due to the rampant yeast infection spreading around Stonehaven with symptoms that couldn

  5. Afternoon all.

Don't suppose anyone here has entered? If so, have you received your entry for the trial? I'm guessing mine must be caught in the post as I've not heard anything at all!

Hope to see you there in 2 weeks! I'll be on a nice and shiny (to start with anyway!) Royal Enfield.

    All the best, Pete.

  6. Morning all.

Anyone going to be heading up Hungry Hill way in a few weeks for the Talmag? I'm really looking forward to this one, especially with all the rain we've been getting. Should be a good old mud plug....

Hope to see some of you there!

    Pete.
