March 9, 200422 yr Got a fresh bore, 1st over, and piston for the TY and was wondering what the best way to break it in will be. I want to do it right so I won't have to mess with it for a long time. I have other bikes to work on, this bike is for riding!!
March 9, 200422 yr if it is a two stroke run it rich on oil and dont rev it to much just poodle around on it if it is a four stroke i dont have a clue i think you just ride em
March 11, 200422 yr Just going through the same myself. First off run your pre mix a bit rich ie 40:1 instead of my usual 50:1 for the first tank. Make sure that you warm the bike up at idle thoroughly before riding. Avoid high revs. I always take it out on some dirt roads or lanes for a nice easy cruise.
