I clean my air filter quiet often 1 or 2 rides, but on removal of my carb i find dirt in the bell entrance. The mudguard is a replacement which does not have the rubber seal as the original did have. This as resulted in me now replacing the piston due to wear.

I do jet wash generally the bike all over so could this be the cause.

On a different note ive removed the fly wheel weights and wow the bike is far better to ride no loss of grip but more response and revs out even better.
