Reducing 290 Compression

I have an old 290 2000, I sometimes have trouble kicking the thing over and wondered if anyone had tried a spacer to reduce the compression like the ones available for the big Gassers?

It runs fine (well it will when I have fixed the water pump!) I like the power and find the power delivery pretty smooth.

Any thoughts guys?

    Do not know of any head spacers for the Sherco.

    Stacking base gaskets would be the only other thing you could do, but hesitate to recommend it! :D

    Base gasket is the only way to go. And I believe there are three different thicknesses available now. Check out the 07 parts book for part numbers.
