November 20, 200718 yr My new 250 came with a 100 link 520 chain fitted, and the tyre was only millimetres from the swinging arm. On compresssion and within minutes, the tyre had rubbed a hole through the rubber flap which keeps the monoshock clean. I am fitting a 102 link chain to allow the wheel to move back a tad and then fit a new rubber guard. Be aware if your's is on order.
November 20, 200718 yr i think the 00 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 were the same Edited November 20, 200718 yr by munch

November 21, 200718 yr Yes and if you ride on the road the tyre will grow in diameter and wear right into the body of the shock NOT GOOD!
November 21, 200718 yr i think the 00 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 were the same My 03 didn't rub, but my 06 does. I know at one time a guy on bay was selling thicker shrouds for the shock.
November 21, 200718 yr My 2008 Rev-4T arrived with a hole in it, right out of the crate. I suppose created from just rolling around the factory. Obviously a problem that Beta has no intention of fixing, if it has been going on this long. But, if that is the worst problem I have with the bike, that will be OK by me. The chain will streatch by itself in no time anyway.
November 22, 200718 yr All 8 rev 3's i have had since they came out have done this, when the chain stretches its on, i never bother changing the rubber flap.

November 22, 200718 yr Don't worry, you will soon forget about that when your chain starts rubbing on the rear brake pedal.
November 22, 200718 yr wonder if the inferior, made in china, Xispa will have that problem ? still a new Beta is only
November 24, 200718 yr Don't worry, you will soon forget about that when your chain starts rubbing on the rear brake pedal. If you let it go loose
