Having just changed from an 02 Sherco 290 to an 04 Scorpa 250 i find the gearing a bit fast, i have an 11t front & a 38t rear as fitted & a spare 42t from the sherco which i want to know if it is a straight swap or not.

If you check the Tryals shop web page, it shows applications for some conponents including sprockets. I know some were cross-brand compatible.

Looking through the Tryals Shop's online catalog, the sprocket don't appear to ge interchangeable. To be sure, just use their online technical request form and you will get an answer to your question:

They are a straight swap as long as it is the 4 bolt sprocket off an 03 or 04 sherco.

In general - 03/04 betas, 03/04 gassers, 03/04 shercos and 02/03/04 scorpas all run the same hubs so all sprockets can be interchanged (for the 250s and up anyway).
