April 4, 200818 yr mines just packed in on my 04, i was told lampkins will send one out free of charge as its a commen fault. is this true?
April 4, 200818 yr Hi I have had the same problem.Due to the age (04) it is unlikely you will get a free stator but phone them they are very helpfull.It may not be the stator plate ,could also be the cdi unit,but they will go over the problem with you. BEST OF LUCK.

April 5, 200818 yr Get it rewound at west country windings, did one for me a while back they put extra windings on and the bike ran better than ever ! Also try a fine tip plug the spark goes earlier my bike seemed to run better for it ! Oh and its cheaper than a new one, and not lightly to wrong again !
