April 17, 200818 yr Does or has anyone used Silkoline pro cool coolant in their rev 3? I cant seem to find the recommended "Bardahl Long Life" anywhere I have had the usual Beta waterpump corrosion problems so i choose pro cool because it seemed to be the least reactive. It says its safe to use with any metal or alloys. What do you think.

April 17, 200818 yr I've had the same problem with the water pump corrosion.I've replaced the clutch housing and am now trying Motul factory line coolant. This is the only one I've found that mentions aluminium and magnesium alloys on the specification and is organic. I think the pro cool only said aluminium alloys. is the water pump magnesium alloy? Unfortunately this is going to be a long term thing i'll know if is any good in six months to a years time..the plus point is the factory line is bright red and matches the front mudguard, one has to colour match if one can
April 18, 200818 yr Author Your right it is a long term test. My Rev 3 is an '04 so it took 4 years for the casing to corrode. I only intend to keep it 2 years max so hopfully i wont matter to me! RobM did you get your bike new? have you had aby corrosion problems? Thanks for the replies lads.
