After 6 months of trouble free riding my sons Beta 50 Mini Trial will not run when back wheel in contact with the ground.

If bike sat on the level on a milk crate so the back wheel of the ground the bike will tick ove and run ok.

Any areas I should be looking at first.

Hi have a look at the clutch as this drives the the bike, try some new shoes and a change of oil (ATF) seems to work best.

Could also be the carb, my sons ran fine with a slightly raised tick over but would not pull with him on it on the ground ? Found out the carb had water in it after cleaning with carb cleaner and an air line i got the water out not as easy as it sounds, so take your time !

I'm 99% sure that the engine in the Beta 50 is made by KTM (same as used in their 50cc 'crossers). If you're still having problems after trying the suggestions here, try asking for advice on KTMTalk.
