Pre 65 Scottish 2009, Were To Stay?

Featured Replies

Hi All

Im planning to come over to the Uk and do the Pre 65 Scottish (if i get in that is !!) and watch the rest of the week with the modern bikes. Ive been on the "Tin Ter Net" and there are quite a few hotels etc that are on there , but does anyone have any recommendations as to were to stay, there will be 2 of us and a Van, were flying in from Dubai so hence the sort out at this very early stage !

you want to stay in kinlochleven itself if you can ( but most will be prebooked already..) if not then glencoe village or ballachulish are your best bets.. for the 6 days jump the extra dozen miles into fort william..

best of luck.. accomadation may be as hard to get as an entry.. although an address in foreign climes and a foreign passport might help. to seal the deal if you could be riding a 500cc rigid twin and your daughter or wife can ride then you might stand a better chance..

I can't say there have been too many rigid 500cc twins riding the pre-65 Scottish in recent years!

Good luck.

I recommend you contact the Lochaber tourist office, they hold a comprehensive list of all types of accommodation in the area. You could also look here.
