Other than a good cleaning of the carby and such, you would be well advised to find someone locally that has experience with the bikes and can properly evaluate things. As we seem to be on different tracts with the basic "ratcheting" sound thing. Just different I would normally think as to what the "pinking" or "ping" as we call it. :guinness:
