March 16, 201016 yr 80:1 is plentyIm surprised yours runs at all using 33:1!!!!!!! It must be choking up your pipe. no its fine you just have to use the right oil.
March 16, 201016 yr I certainly wouldn't use more than 75:1 in a modern Sherco. Use a decent oil like Comp 2 plus and 80:1 is spot on. I would run at 100:1 without worrying too much either. Do more harm than good running too much oil, runs hotter, clogs your silencer up with goo. I've still got my 04 Sherco 290 and 05 Sherco 80, no new rings, never been cracked open, had a damned good hammering, and never missed a beat. Mine's one of the most reliable I've seen - if you forget about the time I left half my carb at home on the bench :-)
March 17, 201016 yr Thank you BS, i was trying to figure how to post so nicely. His excess oil does go somewhere! There is no"right" oil. I have run 100:1 with no problem as well! Oil "lingers" in the motor(and exhaust) and must be cleaned out. Less an issue with high revving bikes, crap on a trials bike!
