hi every 1 , im new to this site , but yesterday i bought a ty 175 , it was a barn find and been sat there for 10 year, any ways this morning i cleaned the carb , new plug petrol ect and fired here up, fired up after 4 kicks bt smoked , very very bad , any ways i let here warm up and gave here i little run , the smoke did carm but still there quite bad, the old owner told me he had stoped using it due to a hole right at the front of the exhast , closest to the barrel , when i was looking at this and the bike was running i noticed it was dripping oil slightly from this hole direct from the barrel, hense the smoke , but it is oil from the bottom end not 2 stroke oil , is this possible??? i was thinking maybe the bottom gasket had gone bt then i thought there would be no compression, ??? either way im not sure, any advise would be really greatfull, cheers dale

Nothing to worry about ,just get it nice and hot and with fresh fuel+fully synthetic oil mix (50 to 1 )and it will stop smoking unless you still have the autolube connected.

You cannot burn the gearbox oil unless your R/H crankcase seal is leaking
