Hi anyone help with the chrome on my forks, just rebuilding a 199 for fun use then when I get the hang of these things again will start in local trails. Problem are the forks!

There is some pitting in the chrome, they did not leak any oil when in use (before strip down) but will more use mess up the seals.

Is it an expensive job to get them re-chromed.

A word for the wise. Unless you know the Sherpa has never been used as a paddock basher, before you take those forks to the chromer, have an engineer put those tubes on a set of blocks and test for run-out
