2008 Vs. 2009 Beta

Featured Replies

I have found a 2008 Beta 250 Brand new at a good deal.

What would I be giving up by going with this instead of a 2009 EVO?

The price on the 2008 model is about 15% less money wise than the 2009 model.

Thanks!

Can't really comment on the differences as I have not ridden an 09, but I think that the 08 was about

as above an 08 was 3400 and last week i was offered a new evo 09 for 4k cash. 09 evo's have started to come on the market at 3200/3350. a used 08 would be about 2500 plus in good nick

Consider resale value of the 08 vs the 09. Whenever you plan to sell the bike, the 09 should always off-set your initial %15 investment. As an owner of a 08 and 09 Beta, and to keep my opinion brief, the 09 is a much better competition bike and rides much better. You should try to ride each bike back to back and you'll see what I mean by it rides much better.

$10 dollars says you are wrong on date and quite a few more changes. (some things have been updated already, rear brake casting, front mudgaurd and stand that I know of).

Rear brake casting has all ready been updated? DO you mean on the latest shippent of the 09 Beta's it has been done?

Depends when the pedals have been made I guess. I think the top lads had a bit of an issue so the pedal now has a little extra bit on each side. Mine was fine before.

What have the problems been with the rear brake caliper and pedal? I have an 09 250 and was wondering what to look out for if a problem starts on mine? Im riding the manx 2 day hence I dont want the bike to jack in after the
