December 17, 200322 yr Anyone know who makes / sells the alloy sump sheild for the Fantic 200. The plastic one that is on it now is like new, but I don't think it offers much protection. I would pay cash if someone could have one at the scottish for me :hat:
December 17, 200322 yr I have a vague memory of the Arden's making an alloy sump plate for the 200 and 240 - was quite a straight forward design. I had one on a 240 but then again I have always been an all show and no go kind of rider. You'd be amazed at the protection that the plastic one offers, when the real Subira, Burgat and Co were riding the Worlds in the 80s they used the plastic guard, as did Brian Fowler's UK Fantic Mob. December 18, 200322 yr ive got a mate who works in the shipyard made one for my dads 200 real neat job. sold the bike locally so could probably borrow the plate to make another one. he may have made a spare. cant get in touch with him just at the moment but will post further news
December 22, 200322 yr Author Thanks r2, but Sparky got me sorted I rode the a 200 many moons ago and had no trouble with the plastic guard, but now finding new cases if I did whack it just right could be a lot more spendy than putting a alloy one on.
