Set the carb up right and stick Boyesens in her, you can buy them from Motormerlin on Ebay no probs. The Dellorto is a mega carb on the rev3 but needs constant cleaning, if you dont mind carb cleaning go for that,if not stick with the leaky junk called the Mukuni

Gday, yeah stick with the Mikuni. Any carb will leak when its upside-down. There is no horsepower to be gained by merely swapping carb brands and you have to go through the pain of getting it set up. If you are looking for performance clean the exhaust pipe out.

Stork

Gday, have a look at the engine pipe as well. Most people forget these... I have seen them so blocked you could barely get a garden hose through the pipe. there are many posts on cleaning these out, do a search and you will find what you need.

Cheers,

Hi

I had an epiphany one night and looked at the 08 rev3 28mm carb and looked at my old 07 26mm carb and thought why not just bore it out because all carbs are made the same the only diference is the bore size .So anyway i stuck it in a lathe got it centerd and just drilled it out to 28mm .The carb didnt even need jetting and has more on/off/on/off power now and the job was well eary when the carb was stripped !! if you want a pic of it being done e-mail me chris@heyes101.fsnet.co.uk
