I recently purchased a set of Sammy Miller footrests for my TY175. As they mount lower than stock, the brake pedal now sits awkwardly high. I see no way of adjusting the pedal height nor does the Haynes manual discuss this. How have others dealt with this? Rig up an adjuster, heat and bend the pedal, other?

I welded a small piece of steel on the upper side of the brake pedal arm so that the lug on the clutch cover continues to be the up-stop.

If you are also wanting a neat way to hold the footrest up for starting while retaining the footpeg spring, there is a forum thread showing how. I'll see if I can find it.

I've used two of the SM kits. I welded a short length (1/2-5/8 inch long?) of 1/2 inch diameter round rod up and down along the front edge of the bracket over the pedal. Tapped that for M6? and use a short hex head bolt and jam nut. M10 wrench then adjusts the bolt up and down, the head hits the brake pedal and adjusts the height.

Hey, thanks for the responses. I like the idea of Kevin j's adjustable method. I contacted Richard at Sammy Miller and he said in the two years he's owned the company, I was the first to bring this up. So either people are fixing the pedal height on their own initiative or the brake pedal height does not interfere with their riding style.
