Majesty Restoration Started At Last

Well just thought Id post a couple of pictures showing where Im upto with the restoration of my Majesty. Its taken about 3 years to get this far for one reason or another. Im hoping to have it finished for Wrightys show at Telford next year

Looking good! Loving the yellow frame, don't go scratching it with them straps now!

What forks have you used, Fantic? Why did you choose these over Yam Mono forks?

Did you get new rims?

The forks are Marzocchi off a late Beta twinshock, at the time it was easier to get them than the Yamaha mono forks and also Ive heard about issues with mono front hubs.

The front wheel is off a Fantic 240, rear is TY both are around same age as the bike and have been polished and respoked with stainless spokes

I thought of putting Yam mono forks and hubs on it but have been told the Yam brake plates are prone to cracking, plus at the time I would have to of bought a full bike to get the front end as there were no parts available. It seems a shame to brake a full bike.
