February 7, 201016 yr I was out practicing today when unknown to me my rear pads had completely worn out and because of the sudden drop in performance I presumed it would be a leak or similar, however I found it was the pads and that they had left marks in my disc rotor, will I be ok just to replace the pads? Cheers
February 7, 201016 yr The new pads will bed in to the shape of the disc, don't try to do it all at once as the extra heat generated by the grooves will glaze the new pads. Fit the new pads and bed them in as gently as you can.
February 8, 201016 yr I've done that at the SSDT.....the disk didn't come right until i sanded it. Remove the disk and get the junk off.
February 8, 201016 yr Depends on how deep the grooves are. Minor clean disc with some wet/dry fine grit sandpaper, I soaked the paper with WD-40 when I cleaned mine up. New pads will "Bed in" eventually. Deep grooves pitch it and get a new disc.
