I used to have a 2008 280 gas gas

I had the rear mudguard attached with tie wraps and it took so much abuse it was unreal....

Not once did it break... i did go through alot of tie wraps though.......... much cheaper..

I then traded it for a 2010 250 gas gas.

Did the same setup with the mudguard and i have broke 2 guards already with no where near the same abuse.

One last week just shattered when doing a splat!!!!!!!

Has anyone else found this same problem?

Is it made of a different material??????

Yeah we were bitching about this just a short while ago. I am on my second mudguard now and what has put an end to the shattering mudguard is thin cable ties and a plastic numberplate bolt in place of the metal one. It has popped off several times now but not broken. Just take spare plastic bolts and long nose pliers because when the head of the bolt breaks off it is difficult to get out without long nose pliers.

Like you its been years since I broke a rear guard until I bought my 2009. Its the same as the 2010. I don't want to get on my high horse again so suffice to say GG need to rething the design and materials.

The design where it widens now to form extra mud protection was a good idea but I think the opposing curves jsut add to the lack of flex and cause breakages.

The material doesn't feel the same either so it's that too.

About time someone made an aftermarket one like the pre-2009 but in white. I'd happily go back to using the older design so it didn't break. They do fit you know they just don't look as good in the wrong colour.

Cant understand why no one makes pattern plastics for trials bikes

like they do for motorcross ,there are so few models to cover the whole

range, has got to be better than paying the prices of genuine!!

Hmmmmm

i guess that it is some good news that the price is down....

doesnt really fix the problem of them being easy snapped.

i`ve had 2 snap in 2 months with the tie wraps on.

they just break to easy.

surely someone can make an aftermarket one with a lot more flex.

i wouldnt even mind paying a little bit more for it if i knew it would last...

surely there is a mould company out there willing to make a more flexible option and supply it to the likes of trials uk or trial enduro direct!!!!!!!!!!!!

anybody ????????????????????
