Just replaced the gearbox oil on my 09 290. Prior to change selection was a little stiff, with bind from cold that appeared again after a long wait at a section. I opted to use a lube recommended by Munch at msport, (his own blend?), for Montesa as we had residue left from changing the oil on my lads Mont. I have to say the results are excellent, the clutch and selection has never been better.

so tell us what oil it is then??

As I said in my post it is a dealers own blend for Montesa. Bike now engages 1st smoothly with no bind after standing for a week, it had not done that from new even after trying 4 different oils at point of change.
