There are many reasons that water could be getting in to your gear oil if the oil is not getting out though it is most probably getting in from the top somewhere on a vent pipe or it could be the water pump seal if you have a good mechanical knowledge it should not be too hard to fix you should buy the seals that you think it is and then just start hunting.

Not that hard a job. The magnesium clutch / water pump case does not like anti freeze and water and corrodes, you need to use a proper engine coolant. I would not discount the seals but if you remove the water pump cover it is likely you will see the corrosion. I think the new casings are alloy and not magnesium.

Me and my lad both used to ride REV 3s and our casings went within weeks of each other. Then he hit his off a rock. I bought three in a matter of months.

BETA bits are quite pricey now down to the

Hello

look at my topic (clutch cover changing) and you will find the whole

description to change te clutch cover. I done it forr the first time and

it's verry easy. time +/- 2 hours. I only need to putt new coolant

on the bike and asked on the forum what to refill so it would

not corrodate the cover again. What do you need:

-clutch cover case

-new oil seals (gear shift, kick starter, water pump (inner)

-clutch cover seal

-to replace the bearings off the water pump haet the cover with an airheather and

putt some grease at the bearings

I also ordered a new pump fann and te sealing off the pump cover
