john b Posted September 22, 2010 Report Share Posted September 22, 2010 Well............ 3 days gone and second post for help on the TY80 Rebuild ! On the left hand side crankcases (flywheel side) below the carb there is a 14mm threaded hole which goes into the crankcases. On the bike I have, there is a plastic threaded piece with a small hose attached screwed into the hole ? On looking at the Haynes Manual, I'm sure the hole is for the 'indent plunger' which runs on the selector mechanism ? Any ideas why mine is as it is ? Apologies for no photographs - hopefully the TY80 gurus out there can figure out what I mean and advise ! cheers John Ps - my estimate by the end of the rebuild will be 20+ posts........and there's no way I can move Christmas day to accommodate any major problems !
