I have a small crack near the top of the tank, caused by a fall, the coating has come away from the tank itself, how do you repair them ? Thanks. mickl Posted September 24, 2012 Share Posted September 24, 2012 I have recently aquired a SY250 with longride tank, The tank has a few large areas of the thick blue/purple paint/ coating chipping off, and seems to be fairly easy to chip off. So I was wondering if anyone has ever stripped the tank bare to the translucent white plastic. Was it sucessful?, Did it make the bike look terrible?, Did it shave 2 pounds off the total bike weight? jtrials31 Posted October 1, 2012 Share Posted October 1, 2012 I have some chips coming off on mine, anyone know of a quick fix, other than taking it all down, adding fibreglass, etc.?
