Hi all I need some help on where to set the stator plate on my sherco 250 04, dose the tick Mark on the plate line up with the line on the casing as I can see a line on mine or am I wrong, can I have it advanced or not any help would be great.

Pretty sure the 04 runs leonelli ignition so the manuals that are linked at the top are what you need to use, the line on the stator plate should line up with the righthand edge of the mounting lug.

Quite a few threads here that have photos showing the set up, Copemech has a very good phot explanation of exactly how to advance or retard the timing

I found a post, try waynes help, it's now set to standard setting I will keep it there, no point in trying to walk before I can crawl cheers for the help
