New to the forum, just a bit of background, I'm an experienced road bike & trail rider, plus I do a few non competitive Enduroland type events. Anyway although I now live in Suffolk I come from Devon and have ridden my friends Montesa down there a few times and really enjoyed it. So over the next few months I'm going to buy a trials iron and give it a go. So sorry but just a few typical newbie questions if I may?

Apart from the track near Lowestoft is there anywhere else in Anglia where I can go practice? I live near Bury St Edmunds so this means I'm closer to Essex/Cambs.

Can anyone recommend a club to join that maybe have a few beginner events and is good fun (don't like to take things too seriously) I've looked on the ACU site and there seems to be quite a few in the area such as Braintree/Sudbury etc, so not sure which one to join.

For a bike I was looking at a Montesa 315 or Beta 250 on the recommendation of friends, what do you all think?

Beta Rev3 would be a better bet as its newer in design with no rear linkage bearings to worry about on an old bike. Also you would most likely get a newer bike as Montesa seems to hold value.

I think the only one in the eastern centre is Norwich Vikings Beginners and Wobblers,

we use Corton trials park, and go down to Raydon,Westleton, Santon Downham among others.

Great club very well ran and good fun for beginners on the orange route (other route`s are available ).
