Just bought myself a 2001 Dougie Lampkin Cota 315. Been out of the sport for a couple of years and having another crack at it. Was just wondering if any of you guys on here could recommend the best oil to mix with the petrol and what ratio to mix them. Have heard that Shell Scooter oil is a good one to use???

for all you read/ hear about this brand v that brand any smokeless two stroke oil will do the trick i 've used all the brands and found no real difference except perhaps in smoke level I use 70-80 ml of oil for every 5 litres of juice i run all my two strokes ( villiers, fantic, beta) on super unleaded , the beta certainly prefers it.

The Montesa Owner's Manual recommends Elf HTX976 at 80:1.
