Beta Gearbox Oil Leak

Featured Replies

Hi blacky..

if you look at my last pic, you will see the old (original) gasket is one of the regular "paper" style ones.

The new one, in THIS pic, is the one I mentioned that is kind of rubbery with a blue ridge all around it.

I would try NOT to use this one....it didnt last very long for me....probably my bad worksmanship..but it slipped out really quickly...so I changed it again...back to the old fashioned paper one, which hasnt moved since.

Hope the pictures make sense...good luck..

Blacky...did you fix it??

Just wondered how you got on...and wondered which gasket would turn up if you just mail ordered one?

Sorted it mate - thanks for all the help.

I just ordered the it over the phone from john lampkin imports and the paper type gasket turned up so I changed it for that and everything seems to be ok.

The pictures were very handy though - thanks for that.

no worries ...pleased it worked out.

Should be fine for a while now!!...thats basically the only prob. I've had with my Beta :)
