smalley250
Arnetts at Doncaster will be able to do it no problems. Highly recommend then cheap and quick service. They have done many jobs for me like engine cranks making bushes etc

sherpagorri
Hi, I´m trying to repair the head of my tl. In Spain is impossible, everybody says "No". I contacted the company Arnetts and they say me NO too. The head must be repaired in both sides (the chain side and the rear side). The problem is in the rear side of the head because is enclosed, and the boring bar they use needs to go rigth through. Poor thing(my tl). spacetrekker
Hey sherpagorri, not sure if this will help, but way back in the 70's I modded a SL100 engine, including having bushing inserts made for the cam. On that engine, the cam rode directly on the machined head surface. The bushings were made out of aluminum and had a groove or hole for oil passage. I don't know remember the specific details but I'm sure the original internal (right side) surface was machined for the insert without boring through the head. Look for another machine shop that specializes in smaller engine work.
