February 12, 201214 yr Well done to the Melville MC (Scotland) with their return to SACU trials. ...Tam's the Man! Good luck to all competitors and officials at the Duns trial, have a great day's sport. Big John Indeed, as a previous trials secretary of the Melville I am pleased to see the club making a return. If only it were feasible to revive some of the old venues. A fair few of the members from those days are still riding trials and even active on mountain bikes so not doing too badly for old guys. Over 50's/60's Melville team anyone? Edited February 12, 201214 yr by 2/4
February 19, 201214 yr Author Down at Duns today with Tam and the boys(and Cammy).Setting out, mega lap about 3 or 4 mile long(like a mini enduro),great sections which have something for everyone:- climbs, drops, burn (stream),twists and turns and a cracking veiw over the Scottish Borders.Should suit all experiences(even an old bugger like me on my rattly TY). cheers the noo Brian
March 1, 201214 yr Author Somerled you'll enjoy the trial, its got a cracking big lap.The sections are well thought out with something for all abilities.I'm going to have a run round on the C route(not rode a trial since last August,I'm getting on a bit and riding a twinshock). cheers the noo Brian
March 1, 201214 yr Cheers Brian, I'm down for the C route too, on a 125 Scorpa and Iain is doing the B route on a 125 Xispa and given that he rides his Enduro bike like he's got something important to do afterwards, I pity that poor wee Xispa! Aye, I'm getting on a bit myself too, went to school with Ross in the 60's Pre 65 is more a reflection of his great age more than anything I suspect! 60's. 60's you must be thinking of someone else, I didn't attend till the 70's possible the 80's. See you there Pete, bring Dave along.
