Anybody smarter than me, I have to install a flat sprocket on a TY 250B and I don't remember ( I didn't write it down ) the tickness of the spacer I need, the one I put on my other TY seem's to be 4 mm thick. I can't measure it without tacking the sprocket off and I don't want ( or am too lazy ) to take it off.

Guy I can't say I'm any smarter than you but I do remember that the thickness you need for a sprocket spacer on a TY250 is the same thickness as the sprocket which from memory is 1/4"

That is based on the offset of an original Yamaha dished sprocket. There are probably lots of TY250s out there with bent swingarms that may need a different thickness spacer.

fergie are you saying a 428 sprocket is 3/16" thick? or that the spacer should be 3/16" thick?

The spacer should be 3/16" thick. If you put a stock dished sprocket on a flat surface and measure the distance from the outside edge, to the flat surface, I believe it comes to 3/16" if my memory serves me. I could be wrong though, as it has been about 10 yrs. since I last did one.

I guy's. I just called a friend who is the proud owner of a new original dish sprocket, I will go to is place measure it and post the answer.

I just measured the dish in an original TY250 sprocket at 4.5mm, which is pretty close to 3/16".

Thank's David, you just save me a 20 miles trip, and we just receved 7 inch of snow and maybe another 8 this week, so no need for a ride on a slippery back road ride
