not sure how well the 280i gearing will do on the road (or the trail)...

    I think the gearing will be fine for road depending on your top speed expectation.

    I've had the TR280i in 6th gear, bit hard to tell how fast I was going but I think you'd comfortably sit on 80km/ph crusing speed - which is as fast as I ride my KTM on the road with trail/enduro gearing.

    I ride mine , 280i ,on trails alot , just wondering what gear ratios you are wanting changed , occasionally , OCCASIONALLY , it would be nice to have a closer 4-5.
