April 22, 201214 yr If the Kill Switch checks out ok and its got Ducati Ignition have a look at the Voltage Regulator. My 2006 Pro did exactly the same. When I checked for a spark I only got one every 2-3 kicks.
April 22, 201214 yr Author can you run through the procedure for checking for a spark and the kill switch,,,do you just disconect the switch,,thanks tom
April 22, 201214 yr Yep disconnect the kill switch. With mine I unscrewed the Plug Cap from the H.T Lead (just in case the Cap is faulty) Hold the H.T Lead 5-6mm from the Cylinder Head and get someone else to kick it over. You should be able to see the Spark jump the gap. Hope that helps.
June 3, 201214 yr Author the problem turned out to be a burnt out coil on the stator,,,thanks for all the help,,,,cheers
