Hello guys im new to this and i was woundering if you could help me, i have a beta 250 techno well i think its a 250 on the side of the head it says 352 is this the size of the engine CC ??

I had the bike a few years ago and i sold it to a friend who lets just say abused it slightly, its been sat around for over a year doing nothing so i brought it back, the clutch didnt work as in the engine was engaged when you selected the gear and no disengaging was possible, i was going to have a look at this but thought i would have a little go on it before i stripped it down. I was riding in 3rd gear and i was popping a few wheelies and all of a sudden the bike slowly ground to a halt but the engine was still running, i tried changing gear but nothing happened the engine just continued to run. I took the clutch cover off and depressed the clutch lever and i could see that the plates are moving slightly which tell me that technically the clutch should work as the slave cylinder was working and the push rod was activating. I then put the bike in gear and moved the bike back and forth, the clutch basket moves as does the drive chain etc but the magneto on the right hand side of the crank doesnt move with it, however if i move the magnito by hand the engine moves with it as does the clutch basket but the final drive as in the back wheel and sprockets etc doesnt move.

I am mechanically minded but i havnt taken a bike gearbox apart before and was woundering if there is something thats come loose or snapped like a gear or pinion that locks the engine to the drive chain??? i didnt hear any bangs or clunks when it happened it just lost power.
