Could somebody point out what is wrong with my bike please? I've taken the carb off to clean it and on the outlet side it has a white residue in it. It continues into the boot that connects it to the reeds. It's fairly solid white like its been combusted onto it. I've no idea but it doesn't look good!!

Could be ethanol residue ???

Corrosion????: Oxide of Aluminum, Magnesium or Zinc depending on what metals are in the carb body

Ethanol in the fuel attracts water or water leaking or sucked in some other way. Fuel evaporates leaving water to do the corrosion work.

Could this have anything to do with me changing over from regular unleaded petrol to super plus unleaded? Should I stop and go back to regular?
