Evo 300 4T Carb Issues & Jetting

Hi mates

I have a problem with my '10 evo 300 4T.

The bike suddenly stalls when at iddle, it does it randomly, sometimes after 1 min. sometimes after 30 sec.

If I increase the tickover (1500 rpm) I can hear the failure but, as the revs are high, the engine keep running. seems like the fail last just a 1/2 second or less.

At 1200 rpm the bike just stop running when the failure happens.

I discard electric issues because with the cold starter fully pull out (even with hot engine) the failure Does Not happens.

A soon as I pull in the starter, after few seconds, the engine stop running again.

I've took out the carb for cleaning and I've passed a nail trough all the little holes and jets. I'll leave it overnight submerged in petrol.

Any other ideas?

Also, I've checked it out that my jets:

Main: 120

Pilo:t 27.5

Other one similar to the main that i have no idea whats for: 60

Nail: third slot from botton

Air screw: 2.5 turns from fully closed

I read somewhere in this forums that Evos comes too lean from factory, So which would be a good jetting for this bike?

I run it at sea level.

Thanks, any help is welcome :)

Well done with the fix.

The Evo 4T are sent from the factory lean in the mid range. To help the bike run smooth and strong richen the needle by raising the needle (drop lower the clip) as high as it will go. I and most everyone does and it helps.
