February 1, 201313 yr hi guys just looked at the air box on my 221 175 seems to be know mounting points all i can find in the box of bits is two home made hindge like things can someone help
February 2, 201313 yr From what I can remember from the 159 I had years ago, the airbox had two fixing bolts at the top which bolted to two brackets that sat between the frame tubes under the seat. As the 175 uses the same type of airbox, it's most likely the same, so worth a look to see if that's how it mounts
February 2, 201313 yr There are two metal clamps[24 & 25] that sit in the triangular opening and are bolted to the frame as well. This was used on the lager 250/350 bikes with this style of airbox. I assume the smaller bikes would have the same setup [there are no actual mounting holes in the airbox itself, the brackets fit into the air intake under the seat] Cheers Greg Edited February 2, 201313 yr by sherpa325
February 2, 201313 yr Author hi sherpa 325 many thanks for that i can see how it mounts now some one that owened it before just bogged it
February 2, 201313 yr Author hi sherpa 325 thanks for the brake down picture have you got one for a 250 gearbox many thanks
February 2, 201313 yr No sorry, do not have any, but they would not be too difficult to make as they are just mild steel strap. They pull the airbox up to be a snug fit against the frame. Cheers Greg
