hi guys what was the colour of handle bars for the 198B? where they black?

Original the handle bar was black:

Anyway some riders painted their handle bar white or mounted alloy bars mostly coated (anodised) in silver or gold back then when I remember right.

hi patrick yes i thought so think the white would look good but its how long the paint would stay on. as if i have them powder coated that will give me problems. may just leave the silver ones on. best regards bondy.

The color stays on the handle bar very long in my experience, here at least a 20 year old yellow painted handle bar ... :

Some scratches will occur but what do you expect it's a dirt bike.

My 198b still has it's original black bars. It's a satin black finish and looks to me like a powder coat which is quite durable.

thanks for the info i may paint them white cheaper than buying black renthals altho they do look good i fancyed white.
