June 6, 200521 yr Hi , looking at a bike just now , its a 125 Fantic section . The bike starts fine and will tick over but wont take throttle , have been told there is no cdi just pick up and coils? have done all the usual carb clean , air leaks etc. Now its begining to get annoying could the power valve give these symptoms. Is there a site for info on the section anywhere. Thanks for looking.

June 8, 200521 yr We had a section 125, I dont think the powervalve will be the problem the bike should run fine with the valve open or shut. We run ours for several months without even noticing the cable to the powervalve was broken. Keep persevering and good luck.
June 20, 200521 yr I agree with doughbouy, the power valve is most probably not the problem, Although like dough bouy my power valve cable was broken for a considerable time before i noticed and when replaced had a noticable difference at top end power.
