Long time lurker, first time poster. Picked up a nice 2002 Sherco 290 and am going through the rear linkage and swingarm bearings for replacement. Will change all the fluids and get the bike tip top shape for some balance training. I ride enduro and trails on a 2012 KTM 350exc. Hoping the trials bike will help with standing up and balance on the KTM as I'm lazy and find I sit way too much.

I am located in the middle of the US in Champaign,IL and see most on here are in Europe, small world eh!

I have spent many hours reading through the Sherco posts and have found a lot of good information here. I hope to be able to contribute to the knowledge base to help other newbies like myself.

First tip I have is at next tire change take all spokes apart 1 at a time and apply anti sieze to the treads and nipples. Your wheels and spokes will thank you later!
