Rear Caliper Carrier

Featured Replies

ok this is the second one on my 2000 rev 3

the rear carrier cracks around the forward mount hole

I only use 10 to 12 lbs of torque (on the bolt ).... is this to much??

whats the fix ?

are there beefier ones from another year?

02 or 03 ones are different ,but all replacements are the newer one .. you should loctite these bolts and make sure before you ride each time they are tight. The only way i ever saw them break was if one of the two bolts came slightly loose.. 14-16lb torque ok ..you also should always check b4 you ride these bolts: rear skid plate, foot peg brakets, rear brake pedal mounting bolt, front frame down tube bolts.. if you do this simple 3 minute check your bike will provide years of happiness!!!
