Replace the condenser before buying a coil. Any single wire condenser will do. It does not have to be for Montesa. Google Southwest Montesa for parts in the states.

With the gearbox in neutral the dot on the selector drum gear should align with the line stamped into the selector quadrant.

Check the selector pawls are undamaged. Damage to the pawls is quite common. The slot the pawls slide in is not symmetrical.

Some fine tuning of the selector mechanism is possible by slackening the M6 nut shown to the right of the selector drum gear in your picture then rotating the eccentric to achieve the best selection. Tighten the M6 nut each time after adjusting the eccentric.

Hope this helps.

You probably need the bike off the ground to spin the tranny to change gears. The cart before the horse. Get it running first. By the way you need to post in the correct forum. Montesa or twin shock. Nobody will come back to help on a 348 under USA. Good Luck.
