June 4, 201412 yr I want my two kids aged 13 & 14 entering the sport. They've riden very little before, just a couple of days in a clipic 50. I wonder if they could start on a 2004 rev 3 125 that i've been offered very cheaply. The other alternative is a TXT 80 rookie. Of course i'd be going along in my gas gas What you reckon?
June 4, 201412 yr They should be fine on a 125. My own lad started on his Beta evo 125 at 12 years old. looked a bit like a pimple on a camels behind to start with but very quickly grew into it.
June 7, 201412 yr There are a few threads and a lot of content on this subject in this and the gas gas forum. Search and yee shall find. My own experience is the 125 will be right size for a 13 year old. Potentially too bug for an 11 year old without any prior motorcycle time. Also, give them a wide open paddock and nobody behind them so they dont pressure first time out. Cheers. Ross
